MPR article by Dora Anne Mills cited in Maine Monitor news story

Dr. Dora Anne Mills's 2025 MPR article, "Maine’s Rural Maternity Crisis: A Policy Agenda,"  was cited in a news story published by The Maine Monitor: "MaineHealth Sued over Potential Closure of Labor and Delivery Unit." 

“Studies show that maternal and infant health significantly worsen after a rural hospital maternity unit closes,” Mills wrote.

Mills's article was published in MPR's recent special issue on rural Maine.
